It's such a pity that the pointy-hair bosses at Nokia are so intolerably mercenary: trying to block Ogg from HTML 5.0, not allowing their own developers to add support for Ogg, etc., all because they want to keep their part of the mp3 royalties and don't want to encourage a free and open codecs like Ogg to prosper. There is some suggestion that they may have seen the light, but it's too early to say, and in any case, will probably come too late to help N8x0 owners.

So Tuomas Kulve, I salute you for providing such a necessary package in the face of corporate greed.

Also, for people wondering which package to use for Ogg support (this one or mogg), all I can say is this one is the only one that I could get to work with Diablo.

Often requested feature in tablet, ogg support works really well with this package.

Since I store most of my music in OGG, my N800 would be dumb without decent OGG support. Of course, it would be great to have OGG support built-in in Linux-powered handhelds (in fact it's really weird that it's not present), but this kind of Ogg support works nice either, thanks a lot.

Great, but is there a way to block Navicore's voiceguide .ogg -files from appearing in the media library?

Well, it's just sort of necessary, isn't it? ;)

Would be even better if the standard MediaPLayer would support it (but I guess it's to be seen with Nokia ...)
