Just wonderful. Rotates, does page boundaries right, and the ugly watermark on my camera's manual is in grey, not black like the included PDF viewer. Thank you!

Evince "fixes" 7 bug reports and enhancement requests filed in Maemo Bugzilla against the built-in osso-pdf-viewer. Heh.

Ed, do you have plans to provide an updated version for Maemo? 2.21.1 is now exactly one year old, 2.24.1 is the latest stable release. Though this might be more complicated because Evince now depends on gio which is not available for Maemo as far as I know (see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=510401 ).

Very good. You can have pdf files in the file manager opening automagically in evince: see http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17757&highlight=evince

I agree it's absolutely better than the default pdf viewer but with file about 5MB its too slow. Loading the file it take about 2 minutes and also navigating the pdf jumping to pages that are not cached is a pain. I think some improvement on performance should be done at least for the os2008 version

truly a must have. smoothly renders, rotates and zooms in on my medical pdfs! It even remembers the view settings for each one so i won't have to rotate portrait oriented files each time i open them!

a nice addition to the next version would be an option to reposition the sidebar when viewing portrait oriented files.

i thank you sincerely sir! this is great help in my studies!

This program is why I bought my Nokia Internet Tablet. As an eBook reader, it is better than anything other PDAs have available.

And the extra features Ed has added to the Maemo port of Evince make the Nokia Internet Tablets (NITs) a true Kindle-killer.

I finally have been able to read multiple eBooks (PDF, DJVU, etc.) which I could never manage to do with a bulky laptop or on a tiny Windows Mobile device screen. The crisp 800x480 resolution of a NIT is a perfect match for Evince.

If you want to read eBooks, get a NIT and grab this great program!

Brilliant, handles PDF files much better than the viewer shipped with OS2008. Thumbnail feature is a winner too.

Like Modest is planned to replace the Email client in Diablo, this should be a strong candidate (probably the only candidate) to replace the PDF Viewer in Diablo.
